With the update to the Express Cargo regulations (effective January 3, 2026), the simplified customs clearance limits in Turkey have been doubled. FedEx can now submit an ETGB declaration (Electronic Simplified Customs Declaration) for shipments under 600 kg and 30,000 EUR. You can use FedEx's free declaration service for export shipments up to 600 kg and 30,000 EUR. For shipments exceeding these limits, customs procedures must be handled by your company's customs broker.

With the updated EasyCustoms thresholds:

•	Your shipment capacity doubles
•	You can use the Electronic Simplified Customs Declaration for larger and higher-value shipments, meaning you can perform EasyCustoms
•	Especially for road exports to the EU, the process is now faster, more flexible, and more competitive

How to benefit from EasyCustoms?

Follow these simple steps in FedEx Ship Manager:

1. Navigate to the 'Create Shipment' page in FedEx Ship Manager.

2. In the 'Customs documentation' section, make sure the option 'Attach trade documents electronically (recommended)' is selected.

3. Create your international commercial invoice within FSM or upload your own invoice if you already have one.

4. Under the ‘Additional documents’ section, select ‘UPLOAD FILE’ and upload your e-archive invoice (PDF or similar format) by selecting it from your computer.

5. Please inform our courier that this is an ETGB shipment and confirm that you uploaded the e-archive invoice into our system.

Once these steps are completed, your shipment will be processed digitally under EasyCustoms.

FAQ

Why upload my e-archive invoice?

Uploading the e-archive invoice to the system enables FedEx to submit the ETGB declaration simultaneously on the same day and provides a 24-hour transit time advantage for your shipment. If the e-archive invoice is not uploaded, same-day ETGB service cannot be provided for your shipment. However, your shipment can still be processed under ETGB and dispatched the following day.
Therefore, it is recommended to upload your e-archive invoice to ensure faster processing and benefit from improved transit time.

What are the shipment limits for ETGB?

ETGB can be used for shipments up to 600 kg and 30,000 EUR. Shipments exceeding these limits must be cleared through a customs broker.

What is Same-Day Export?

Same-Day Export is a service offered under EasyCustoms that allows your shipment to be cleared through customs and depart Turkey on the very same day it is picked up. This advantage is available for Express shipments originating from Istanbul, Bursa, Balıkesir and Eskişehir. By completing the customs clearance process on the day of pickup, Same-Day Export can provide time savings of up to 24 hours, enabling faster delivery for time-sensitive shipments. It also helps improve operational efficiency and gives your business a competitive advantage in international markets.

Do I need to prepare physical documents?

No. With EasyCustoms, your customs process is handled digitally. You only need to upload your e-archive invoice during shipment creation.

Is EasyCustoms available for all shipment types?
